Moyer Masters Hell Tour Opener at Brownstown Speedway PDF Print E-mail

Brownstown, IN – June 16, 2010 – Billy Moyer obviously wanted to remind people Wednesday night at Brownstown Speedway that he can beat anyone, anywhere, anytime.

The Batesville, Ark., driver fresh off his Dream XVI victory last weekend at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio rolled through the Brownstown pit gate and on to win the opening night of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals ‘Hell Tour’ over 49 other DIRTcar Late Model competitors.

Moyer, a DIRTcar Late Model Hall of Famer, traded the second spot with fourth-finishing Greg Johnson early, before searching out multiple grooves at the Jackson County oval, and sneaking under eventual runner-up Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn., on lap 26 to claim the $5,000 winner’s check.

Greenbriar, Ark., driver Jack Sullivan would finish third ahead of Johnson while 2009 Brownstown Speedway Summer Nationals winner Jeep Van Wormer of Pinconning, Mich., would round out the top five.
